FamilyLife: A Weekend to Remember
Jennifer and I just got back from a great weekend. We spent the weekend in Chattanooga, Tennessee at the FamilyLife Weekend to Remember Marriage Getaway. I’ve got to be honest, I was a little skeptical about going. I had envisioned awkward conversations with couples I had never met, but the conference really surprised me in a good way. There were about 350 couples there from all walks of life. It was a fun weekend with powerful teaching, and well-thought out projects for each couple to work through.
I was impressed with the quality of the conference and would highly recommend it for anyone. It’s not cheap, but it is truly an investment in your marriage and your family. We were blessed by a Pastor’s scholarship to help defray the cost of attending. A conference like this is helpful, whether your marriage is doing great or is struggling. We were also able to attend several breakout sessions for couples in ministry.
We enjoyed our time in Chattanooga, and it was a great way to refocus on our marriage and family. We’ve had a great twenty years of marriage, and I feel like our marriage is strong because we continually work on making it better. Ministry is hard at times, and it takes a toll on your marriage and family. I’m blessed with a great wife and great children, and I want to leave a legacy of faith.

Yeah, but did you go to the tow truck museum??
We drove by it! and we even drove up to Rock City. It was closed but we still got to enjoy the view
