Collide magazine has been sharing an excellent series of posts on their blog about why we shouldn’t be using media and technology. Now for a magazine that is subtitled, Where Media and the Church Converge, this sounds like the exact opposite of what they would normally promote. But I love what they are doing. They are using this series to make sure their readers don’t lose sight of the most important truth, that we must be clear on what we are communicating. All the videos, gadgets, and technology are useless if we don’t have anything to say. Check out their blog posts below, and if you aren’t already subscribing to the magazine, then definitely check it out. It’s full of media and tech reviews that will help you communicate the message of hope and forgiveness that is found only in Jesus Christ.
This is the first installment in an ongoing and open-ended series devoted to convincing you, the church leader, not to use media.
