Thanks Frank!

It is a sad day in college football. Today is Frank Beamer’s final home game as head coach at Virginia Tech. Frank has been a steady constant in a world of change. As a Virginia Tech student, I was there in Shreveport, Louisiana for the 1993 Independence Bowl. I was even at the 1994 Gator Bowl when Peyton Manning dominated against Tech. Since then, Tech has been in a bowl game every single year. Let that soak in, 22 straight years of Bowl games with a good chance this year to make yet another.

Frank is a hometown guy, who grew up just a few miles away from here. Everyone has a Frank story, and they all speak to what a great guy he really is. We all know that it is time, and I’m glad he can step away from the game on his own terms. He has built the Hokies into a perennial powerhouse, and it’s been an honor to watch as a true fan.

GO HOKIES!!!
