It’s college football time again. And the great Hokies are 3 and 0 so far. But the real question is what is going on with the ACC this year. Miami has already lost to Florida State and they got shelled by Louisville. Florida State got beat by Clemson. UVA can’t even beat Western Michigan, although as a tech fan, I

I’m back at work today. Mondays are always rough, but especially when you have been gone a week. We had a great trip to the beach. Good weather, great food, and fun times with the kids. It’s so important for me to get to spend some serious time with Emma, Luke, & Drew. It seems like every year you have

I got the chance to do some more reading during our trip to the beach. I’m about halfway through Breaking the Missional Code by Ed Stetzer and David Putman. I have really enjoyed reading through it so far. At first, it seems like such a simple concept, your church should function as a missionary to the culture you live in.

I don’t know how it happened this week. But I’ve got a new name. You see, back when Emma was little she used to call me “Big Strong Daddy”. That was the type of name to make a dad proud. If I were a superhero I would want to be called Big Strong Daddy, or MuscleMan or Dynamic Daring Dad,

It’s a sad day in the Morris household after we learned today of Steve Irwin’s death. Our prayers go out to his family as they go through such a tragic loss. My kids have always loved the “Croc Hunter” and I have enjoyed his shows over the years. We even have the dvd of the full length movie he did.

We’re kicked back at the beach enjoying life this week. Check out the pics from the balcony of our room where we’re staying. We’re in a corner room that has an incredible view both directions. And when I fired up the laptop, we even have free wi–fi, life is good! Went to a good church service this morning at Pawleys

Above is a picture of the land that our church has bought. Eighteen acres of flat beautiful land that God has provided. I think it is absolutely amazing that our little church has already almost paid off the land. If we keep going, it should be paid off by the end of the year. When I go out there, I

Our family is leaving Saturday morning for the beach. It looks like Ernesto is long gone, so we’re heading down to Pawley’s Island, South Carolina to relax for the week. You have got to hear Drew say beach. When we get back, ask him where’s he been. While I’m gone, I’m not allowing any comments to be posted. I’ll turn

Church League Softball, you can’t help but love it and hate it. We had our last game last night. It was only the second game that I was able to be there and play. And we actually played great and won. Of course I ended up doing something stupid. Have you ever seen a cartoon where the guy is running

I love to read, so here are some books that have really got me thinking lately. I think it is incredibly important for Christians to continue learning and stretching their minds with Biblically relevant and challenging books. Click on the books to find them at Amazon. And don’t forget the Bible. Although it is great to read books about Christ,

I’m hitting refresh every few minutes on my computer this morning to keep track of what’s going on at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg. An inmate who was taken to the hospital escaped and has already killed two people. He’s running loose on the Virginia Tech Campus this morning. It’s the first day of classes, so I’m sure it’s mass confusion.
