UPDATE: It looks like the FaithLife Study Bible is now free to everyone who signs up and creates an account. Go to for more information I have a free code for readers of this blog to get access to the FaithLife Study Bible for free through March of 2014 - Skip to the bottom for details.

While I use the Bible app YouVersion for most of my devotional reading, I typically switch to Logos for my serious Bible study. Unfortunately Logos is out of reach for most people simply because of the cost. So I was interested when I started reading about a new study Bible app created by Logos that would be much more accessible. The FaithLife Study Bible is available on iOS and Android and through the web. It has an incredible amount of content and they plan on adding even more in the future. I am impressed with this and I’ve already found a lot of helpful information in preparing for my sermons the past few weeks. Here are some of the technical details and I’ve included a video below for even more information.

The Faithlife Study Bible contains a variety of new Bible study tools:

  • Three layers of study notes
  • The Lexham Bible Dictionary (2,700+ articles)
  • The Lexham English Bible
  • Shared notes and reading plans
  • About 400 photos, videos, and infographics

I encourage you to check this out and use it for your study. I have several other study Bibles as well, but this one is by far the most interactive. I’m hoping they decide to keep it free, but even at $29 per year I think it is a good value. The folks at FaithLife have graciously provided a free code for access to the FaithLife Study Bible for free through March of 2014. Here’s your chance to try it out.

  1. I tried the free download code you gave, and it does not come up as free, it asks for a yearly $29 charge. Thanks for any help to get this at no cost as offered.

  2. I just checked, and it looks like they have changed their subscription model. If you go to it appears that it is now free for everyone. You will just need to create an account at or through the android or iOS app. Thanks for letting me know about the code. I’ll update the post as well.
