Wasabi Gospel: The Startling Message of Jesus

I’m excited about a new book that is coming out.  Today is the big book bomb on Amazon for Shawn Wood’s new book, Wasabi Gospel: The Startling Message of Jesus.  Help us get the word out to as many people as possible, because this is definitely a book that is worth your time and money to read.

Shawn is the experiences Pastor at Seacoast Church in Charleston, South Carolina.  I have attended Seacoast several times while on vacation, and I can attest that God is doing some wonderful things through their church.  I can also say that Shawn is the real deal.  He has taken time out of his busy schedule to talk with me over the phone to share ideas about how they create experiences at church.  I read his first book about pomengranates (think 1 Kings 7:15-22), and I have eagerly awaited his newest book.

I will tell you up front that this is a book that you can’t put down.  Shawn is a master story-teller and the book just draws you in.  I love how he came up with the title of the book.  Just imagine the shock and surprise of eating a spoonful of wasabi, and you’ll understand why he chose the title.  The words of Jesus can have the same impact on us.   Short verses that are powerful and that contain surprises that literally change our life.  Pick up a copy at Amazon at Wasabi Gospel: The Startling Message of Jesus.

Shawn Wood is the experiences Pastor at Seacoast Church and the Author of 200 Pomegranates and an Audience of One and Wasabi Gospel (Abingdon Fall 2009).

As experience pastor he helps create spirit-filled, yet not creepy but kind of mystical connections with God on 13 campuses and the web.

As an author when he has lots to say – he writes books but he also opines often in <140 characters at www.twitter.com/shawnwood and occasionally writes in >140 on www.shawnsblogspot.com.
