Our Wildlife Refuge

If you have ever been to my house at night, you know that we have a lot of wildlife around our house. We live in the city limits and since you can’t hunt inside the city limits, most of the wildlife is pretty tame. We live right on the edge of town and we have a couple of acres in our yard. On most any night you will see deer everywhere. My neighbor counted over 30 whitetail deer in our yard one night. We also have wild turkeys walk through the yard in the middle of the day. There are squirrels, hawks, skunks, cats, and dogs in our yard all the time. But we had a new visitor on Monday. I was looking out my back window and I saw a fox. I quickly grabbed my camera and snapped a quick shot before he was gone. By the time I got outside, I couldn’t find him. Now I know why they are called sly foxes. I keep hearing there are a lot of coyotes around, so I’m waiting to see them and the local bears as well.
