Everyone by now has seen the mac vs. pc commercials. They were cute at first, but then the smugness of the apple dude starting getting to me. But community christian church has taken the concept and turned out some really cool sermon illustrations for their latest series.

I have a different take. I like CCC of Naperville, it’s a good place, but I think they’re off-base here, because this appears condescending. Hey, I agree with the sentiment. Unfortunately it appears mostly judgmental and rude.

Good comments. I appreciate your input. The videos are short, so you only get a glimpse. Typically characters are ‘over-exaggerated’ to make a point. I don’t see the Christ Follower as “smug” and “arrogant” as the guy in the mac commercials, but I do see how it could be taken that way. I would hope that they would not put down traditional churches during their messages. As long as churches are reaching others, making disciples, and glorifying God, then who are we to criticize.
